Northern Canaries has evolved from the humble beginnings in Jim van Vijk’s bedroom.
Long before the days of social media, we were organizing meet-ups, producing Cheep Up North, sending emails, making badges and scarves (now both collectors items we hear), hosting the Northern Forum where fans in the North got to quiz the NCFC board and share a drink with them.
Since then, the world has changed. We now have Facebook, Twitter, tumblr and a host of other ways of keeping in touch. But the friends we made all them years back are still our friends now.
Northern Canaries has therefore needed to change too. We no longer charge a membership fee, we don’t send emails, we certainly don’t make scarves! We are however still keen to help get like minded people together using the tools of today. We’d also love to hear from those like minded people to tell us what they’d like us to help organise.
